2 Award Personal Development
This qualification is for individuals
who are practicing and potential team leaders who wish to develop their
knowledge and skills that will assist their personal development and allow
them to become more effective in their workplace.
Candidates may be working in almost any environment; factories,
offices, hospitals, call centres, building sites, shops, leisure centres,
the armed forces etc. Wherever people and resources are employed, team
workers with an ILM Award in Personal Development will ensure that they
are employed effectively.
The course is short and flexible and consists of 26 guided learning hours
which can run over 4 consecutive days or over a longer period up to a
maximum of 1 year. The learning hours include a 1 hour induction, one-to-one
tutorial session and 8 three hour workshops covering a range of subjects
including Introduction and Coaching in the Workplace.
Assessment consists of two reflective reviews. Successful candidates will
be awarded the ILM Level 2 Award in Personal Development with a credit
value of 5. There are no formal entry requirements but candidates should
ideally be working in teams or cells, though not necessarily in a leadership
role, and have a background which will enable them to benefit from the
programme.
