Level 2 Award in Team Leading This qualification is for individuals who are working in formal teams or groups, whether as team leaders, supervisors or team members. It is equally suitable for members of self-managed teams. Candidates may be working in almost any environment; factories, offices, hospitals, call centres, building sites, shops, leisure centres, the armed forces etc. Wherever people and resources are employed, team workers with an ILM Team Leading qualification will ensure that they are employed effectively. The course is short and flexible and consists of 22 guided learning hours which can run over 3 consecutive days or over a longer period up to a maximum of 1 year. The learning hours include a short induction, one-to-one tutorial session and 6 three hour workshops covering a range of subjects including Developing yourself as a Team Leader. Assessment consists of a reflective review and short unit assignments. Successful candidates will be awarded the ILM Level 2 Award in Team Leading and a minimum of 3 credits. There are no formal entry requirements but candidates should ideally be working in teams or cells, though not necessarily in a leadership role, and have a background which will enable them to benefit from the programme.
