Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading This qualification is for individuals who are working in formal teams or groups, whether as team leaders, supervisors or team members. It is equally suitable for members of self-managed teams. Candidates may be working in almost any environment; factories, offices, hospitals, call centres, building sites, shops, leisure centres, the armed forces etc. Wherever people and resources are employed, team workers with an ILM Team Leading qualification will ensure that they are employed effectively. The course comprehensively covers the full range of responsibilities of a team leader or team member within the national qualification framework. It consists of 65 guided learning hours which can take from 2 weeks to 2 years to complete. The learning hours include a 2 hour induction, 2 hours of one-to-one support and 20 three hour workshops covering a range of subjects including: Developing yourself as a team leader, Motivating the work team to perform and Planning and monitoring work Assessment consists of a reflective review, a mini project and short unit assignments. Successful candidates will be awarded the ILM Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading and a minimum of 13 credits. There are no formal entry requirements but candidates should ideally be working in teams or cells, though not necessarily in a leadership role, and have a background which will enable them to benefit from the programme.
