NVQs
in Management
These NVQs are designed
to:
Provide ongoing opportunities for staff involved in the team leading/management
functions to develop their practical competence in the workplace to nationally
determined and recognised standards
Motivate candidates to engage
in developmental activity, based on their existing competence, personal
career goals and the demands of the workplace
Enable employers to identify
candidates’ current potential and their development needs within the team
leading/management functions
Level 2 in Team Leading is for a practising team leader
• whose work involves the application of knowledge and skills in a significant
range of varied work activities, performed in a variety of contexts, and
some of which are complex or non-routine, with........
• some degree of personal autonomy
and responsibility, and collaborates with others through membership of
a team
Level 3 in Management is for a practising first line manager/junior manager
with:-
• a tightly defined area of responsibility
• some limited opportunity for taking decisions and managing budgets
• responsibility for achieving specific results by using resources effectively,
and
• responsibility for allocating work to team members, colleagues or contractors
